David L. Anderson

DaveAnderson Dave Anderson is Managing Director of Supply Chain Ventures, a venture capital and consulting company specializing in software and biotech investing and is a retired managing partner of supply chain consulting at Accenture, a $20 billion global technology consulting company.

He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Waer Systems in Brighton, England, of Avenue Right in Fargo, North Dakota, of New Vine Logistics in Napa, California, of Optiant in Burlington, Massachusetts, of Aiko Biotechnology, a drug development company in Maine specializing in pain management, and Chairman of Control Group, a New York City-based technology consulting and outsourcing company.

Dr. Anderson is on the Board of Advisors of Logispring Management Company, Geneva Switzerland, a $200 million European venture fund specializing in supply chain investments and True Demand Software, Inc., a Los Gatos based company using real time data to enhance supply chain management. He is also a member of the President’s Council of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.

At Accenture, he was instrumental in building the company’s $2 billion supply chain management practice in North America, Asia and Europe. Over the past thirty years, he has helped numerous global corporations transform their supply chains into world-class organizations. He was also global lead for all Accenture alliances with supply chain software companies, including i2, Manugistics, Ariba and Commerce One.

Before joining Accenture, he was vice president in charge of logistics consulting at Temple, Barker & Sloane, Inc. (now Mercer Management Consulting) and a vice president of Data Resources, Inc. (now part of IHS/Global Insights, Inc), where he founded the Firm’s transportation and logistics consulting practice. He was a founding partner of Operations Technology, Inc., a web-enabled, intelligent messaging software company (now part of Supply Chain Consulting). He has also taught classes in undergraduate and graduate level business courses at Northwestern, MIT, Boston University and Northeastern University.

Dr. Anderson is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the United Kingdom and a Member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals in the United States. He currently serves on the Technology Management Council of Boston College. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. He is a frequent public speaker and has published numerous articles on supply chain strategy and business management in leading journals and websites, including the Supply Chain Management Review, Supply Chain Practice Journal, The Journal of Finance and Achieving Supply Chain Excellence through Technology.

His past associations include the Board of Directors of Lean Logistics (sold to Brambles Logistics), Industri-Matematik-International (sold to Symphony Technology, then China dotcom), Board of Directors of Vtrenz (sold to Silverpop), a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of New England, the Board of Directors of The Transportation Center at Northwestern University and a founder of the Stanford Global Supply Chain Forum.

Dr. Anderson received his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Econometrics and Finance from Boston College and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut.

He has been married for 40 years to Melinda Anderson and has four grown children and seven grandchildren. They are co-owners of Biddeford Pool Development LLC, an environmentally-conscious residential land development company in Maine.

Paul Chapman

PaulChapmanPaul Chapman advises portfolio companies on the application of decision support software to global supply chain management problems. Paul recently retired from i2 Technologies, where he was Vice President, Technical Analysis, and principal architect of i2's factory planning and supply chain network planning tools. Prior to i2, Paul held various partner-level supply chain consulting positions at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), Computer Sciences Corporation and Temple, Barker & Sloane, Inc. (now Mercer Management Consulting). Paul has a PhD in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Jeremy Shapiro was his thesis advisor, and a BA in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Paul lives in Hollis, New Hampshire with his wife, Marcia and their two children.

Allen Mottur

Allen Allen Mottur advises portfolio companies in strategy, finance and organizational management. He is an Executive-in Residence in strategy and organization at Boston University 's School of Management. He has been a consultant and board member on a variety of high technology companies, including Livewave and Bluestreak, in the private equity sector, building value and improving management capabilities to meet investor objectives and ensure successful exits. Over his career, he has been on the board and senior management teams of Arthur D. Little, Temple, Barker & Sloane (now part of Mercer Management Consulting), Allen Mottur & Associates and Harbridge House (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers). Allen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Williams College. He resides in Chatham on Cape Cod in Massachusetts..

Padman Ramankutty

He is CEO of Intrigo Systems, a world-class supply chain consultancy, and currently a strategic advisor to Nike for all strategic IT and Supply Chain initiatives. He formerly served as the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Bristlecone, Inc., a global technology consulting company and provider of extended supply chain solutions. Prior to founding Bristlecone in 1998, Padman headed SAP’s High Tech Global Industry Business Unit where he successfully positioned SAP R/3 as the premier enterprise solution for the semiconductor industry. He holds an MBA degree in marketing and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering.

Peter Stiles

Peter Stiles advises portfolio companies on marketing and sales strategies. He is President of Advantage Design, and has over 37 years experience in developing, building, and creating marketing programs for technology companies. In 1978, Mr. Stiles co founded Transportation Data Management. TDM developed the MileMaker series of mileage systems and the Ratemaker First Rate series of rating systems which became the benchmark systems within the motor transportation industry. TDM was acquired by Rand McNally in 1980. Mr. Stiles is a frequent lecturer at both domestic and international industry trade associations and marketing seminars. He is on the Advisory Board of Federal Signal Corporation. He holds a BA in Business Administration from Elmhurst University.
